Who We Are
We are a not-for-profit organization that provides safe and secure shelter and support to women and children who are in crisis.
We assist by providing resources and advocacy, with a focus on educating the public and creating partnerships to prevent family violence and build a stronger community.
What is the Dr. Margaret Savage Crisis Centre?
We are an emergency shelter for women with/without dependent children, who are fleeing domestic violence, or who are in a life crisis. We provide assistance, support and advocacy for people who need our help. We have a women’s shelter in Cold Lake, and a Community Support Program in Bonnyville for all individuals.
What is abuse?
Abuse is when a person treats another person in a harmful or offensive way, physically or verbally.
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, or needs help in any way, please contact us for assistance. We are here for you whenever you need us.
Isn’t the DMSCC just for women?
No, we provide assistance and support for all individuals in crisis. Some of our programs are separated, but both men and women, single or families, are welcome.
Our programs and services are designed to provide immediate safety, well-being and positive growth for clients from every background. For more information on our programs, please click through below.
